Hello,
welcome to my e-portfolio. This site comprises my publications and projects, as well as some personal information. I have studied computer science at Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg, Germany and graduated with a Diploma in Computer Science (which is by European Bologna standards equivalent to a European Master of Science in Computer Science).
My academic interests within the field of software engineering are modeling of software systems, model checking, and knowledge management. For my diploma thesis I developed an basic ontology for software architectural styles or families and two accompanying methods. One method to extract knowledge from technical documentation and store it the ontology. And one method to convert requirements into queries for this ontology.
In future I would like to do research on ontologies and their use in software engineering, because many issues in software design are caused by the lack of knowledge and knowledge transfer. Lack of knowledge is a problem in automated connector generation, as well as in the design phase of software projects where concepts, components and technologies have to be selected.
